To inform potential clients about their Connected Package Platform, Tetra Pak approached us to create an informative animation sharing all of the benefits that it has to offer.
For what could have been quite a dry subject, we aimed to offer a playful solution by using interesting visuals, and having a clear conceptual narrative running through. We begin the video in a cold sterile factory, watching the production of cartons, when suddenly we're transported through a QR code into 'the invisible world'. Once inside this world, the colours warm up and the animation becomes more fun and lively. This is the place where we demonstrate the benefits of the platform.
We opted during animation, to build the cartons in 3D to allow us more freedom with angles, and streamline the production process. Using flat shading to blend it naturally into the 2D world, we managed to make the 3D act as more of a technical solution than become part of the visual styling.
A creative team, Nick Jowitt and Matt Pickles, provided the story, whilst the storyboarding concept and illustration was completed by me. Animations were completed by Jack Last.
